Gary P. Gullo is a New York based trainer and no stranger to conditioning thoroughbreds.   At the tender age of twelve, Gary worked before school in the mornings with his father, veteran thoroughbred horse trainer, Tom Gullo.

In 1980, Gary established his own stable. The temperament of every thoroughbred is unique and Gary has the innate ability to know exactly how to handle each horse in his stable. Gary vigilantly manages every facet relating to each horse's daily regimen, from feeding to training. Gary is an exceptional role model and mentor to his employees, who come to the barn each day with enthusiasm and take pride in their work under his astute guidance.

Gary's attention to detail, incomparable work ethic and tireless efforts have rewarded him with numerous stakes winners including; Dancewiththebride, Tornadoes, TNT Red, Tea Rosy, Cyber Secret, Travelator and Jack on the Rocks, just to name a few.

In March 2011, Gary purchased Curlina, a 4 year old filly sired by Cuvee on behalf of TEAM POWER PLAY RACING. Curlina won four straight in claiming and allowance company before placing second in the G II Vagrancy at Belmont Park.

They say, "A horse is only as good as its trainer" and TEAM POWER PLAY RACING recognizes Gary is the backbone of our team and the position demands a true love of thoroughbred athletes. Gary's mantra of thorough, conscientious planning mirrors that of TEAM POWER PLAY RACING and we are honored to have Gary develop our thoroughbreds.
